The region once affected & ignored due to naxalite activities, and not much travel infrastructure is opening up to travelers who want to explore a side of India which is untouched and filled with abundance of Rural & Tribal experiences. Collaborating with expert local operators in Bastar who are working dedicatedly from the past decades to preserve and showcase the diversity of the region, together we will be leading tour(s) in the region from the months of July-March. The Bastar region, located in the state of Chhattisgarh, India, is home to a rich tapestry of tribal communities, including the Gond, Maria, and Dhurwa tribes. The Bastar tribes are known for their deep connection to nature, reflected in their living practices and reverence for forests and wildlife. These tribes have preserved their unique cultural heritage, marked by vibrant festivals, traditional dance forms, food and intricate handicrafts like Bell metal craft, wrought Iron Crafts, Weaving & Terracotta.

Travel in this region can be planned from at least a minimum 4 nights to 14 nights. It can also be booked as an Add-on to any of your tours. All accommodations available are simple comfortable homestays, hotels & staying in a Kanker Palace.

Starting point will be Raipur/Jagdalpur which is connected from Delhi and Mumbai via direct/connecting flights daily.

All activities in these regions require a basic level of health and fitness, mainly consisting of walking in forest areas & villages. There are additional experiences that can be added to itinerary if you love to hike and camp outdoors. At the moment, there is no wheelchair facility available for this tour.
